Today, Saudis celebrate the Founding Day, which falls on February 22nd every year, commemorating the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727 AD.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, said: “Founding Day is a day of pride for all of us, from which we draw inspiration from the values of moderation, tolerance, and tolerance upon which the Saudi state was founded three centuries ago.”

The celebrations witness the organization of many heritage, cultural, and entertainment events, in addition to air shows by the Royal Saudi Air Force and fireworks displays in the sky of the capital, Riyadh, and several Saudi cities.

The Saudi Cabinet had issued a decision in 2022 to make February 22nd of each year an official holiday for all workers in the public and private sectors, commemorating the establishment of the first Saudi state.

“Founding Day” represents an opportunity to renew the covenant with the values of unity, loyalty, and belonging to the homeland, and to draw lessons and lessons from the Kingdom’s ancient history, and to look forward to a bright future for the Kingdom under its wise leadership.

وأكد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود في كلمة بهذه المناسبة أن “يوم التأسيس مناسبة عزيزة على قلوبنا جميعاً، نستذكر فيه بدايات الدولة السعودية الأولى وما تحقق فيها من إنجازات عظيمة في مختلف المجالات”.
من جانبه، قال ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان: “يوم التأسيس يوم فخر لنا جميعاً، نستلهم منه قيم الوسطية والاعتدال والتسامح التي قامت عليها الدولة السعودية منذ تأسيسها قبل ثلاثة قرون”.
وتشهد الاحتفالات تنظيم العديد من الفعاليات التراثية والثقافية والترفيهية، إضافة إلى العروض الجوية للقوات الجوية الملكية السعودية وعروض الألعاب النارية في سماء العاصمة الرياض وعدد من المدن السعودية.
كما تشهد المتاحف والمواقع التاريخية بالمملكة إقبالاً كبيراً من الزوار الراغبين في التعرف على تاريخ الدولة السعودية وحضارتها العريقة.
وتأتي احتفالات هذا العام في ظل الظروف الاستثنائية التي تمر بها البلاد جراء جائحة كورونا، حيث تم اتخاذ كافة التدابير الاحترازية لضمان سلامة المواطنين والمقيمين المشاركين في الفعاليات.
وكان مجلس الوزراء السعودي قد أصدر قراراً في عام 2022م بجعل يوم 22 فبراير من كل عام إجازة رسمية لجميع العاملين في القطاعين العام والخاص، تخليداً لذكرى تأسيس الدولة السعودية الأولى.
ويشكل “يوم التأسيس” فرصة لتجديد العهد مع قيم الوحدة والولاء والانتماء للوطن، واستلهام الدروس والعبر من تاريخ المملكة العريق، واستشراف مستقبل زاهر للمملكة في ظل قيادتها الحكيمة.
وتأتي الاحتفالات أيضاً تأكيداً على ما تشهده المملكة من نهضة شاملة في مختلف المجالات ضمن رؤية 2030، التي تستهدف تحقيق نقلة نوعية في مسيرة التنمية والازدهار.

King Khalid University Director Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood issued a decision appointing Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Mugamsi as the General Supervisor of the University Branch Administration for Women’s Sections in Abha City, succeeding Dr. Kulthum bint Abdulaziz Saeed, effective Sunday, 9 Muharram 1444 AH.

The appointment decision was based on a recommendation from the University Vice President for Planning and Development, Dr. Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Musbah, after reviewing the relevant recommendation.

Al-Mugamsi holds a PhD in Environmental Geology from the University of Wales, UK, a Master’s degree in Environmental Geology from the same university, and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from King Saud University in Riyadh.

He has held several academic and administrative positions at King Khalid University, including Associate Professor in the Department of Geology at the College of Sciences, Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, and Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

This appointment is a new step in a series of decisions taken by King Khalid University to develop its administrative and academic performance and enhance the role of women in higher education.

أصدر مدير جامعة الملك خالد الدكتور عبد الرحمن بن حمد الداود قراراً بتكليف الدكتور صالح بن سعد المغامسي مشرفاً عاماً على إدارة فرع الجامعة بالأقسام النسائية بمدينة أبها، خلفاً للدكتورة خلود بنت عبد العزيز سعيد، وذلك اعتباراً من يوم الأحد 9 محرم 1444هـ.
وجاء قرار التكليف بناءً على ما رفعه وكيل الجامعة لشؤون التخطيط والتطوير الدكتور أحمد بن سعيد آل مصبح، وبعد الاطلاع على التوصية المعدة في هذا الشأن.
ويحمل المغامسي درجة الدكتوراه في تخصص الجيولوجيا البيئية من جامعة ويلز بالمملكة المتحدة، كما أنه حاصل على درجة الماجستير في الجيولوجيا البيئية من الجامعة نفسها، وعلى درجة البكالوريوس في الجيولوجيا من جامعة الملك سعود بالرياض.
وشغل المغامسي عدة مناصب أكاديمية وإدارية في جامعة الملك خالد، حيث عمل أستاذاً مشاركاً في قسم الجيولوجيا بكلية العلوم، ووكيلاً للكلية للشؤون التعليمية، وعميداً لعمادة شؤون الطلاب، ووكيلاً للجامعة للدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي.
ويُعد تكليف المغامسي خطوة جديدة ضمن سلسلة القرارات التي تتخذها جامعة الملك خالد لتطوير أدائها الإداري والأكاديمي، وتعزيز دور المرأة في التعليم العالي.
