Saudi entity, a closed joint-stock company operating in real estate development and investment, recorded operating losses of 494.9 million Saudi riyals in 2023, compared to losses of 17.1 million riyals in the previous year.

This was stated in the company’s annual report issued by the Saudi stock exchange “Tadawul,” which attributed the significant increase in losses to a decline in real estate sales and the recording of an impairment allowance on the company’s investments.

The report indicated that the company’s total revenues reached 147.6 million riyals in 2023, compared to 62.8 million riyals in 2022, an increase of 135%. The loss per share was 0.70 riyals, compared to a loss of 0.02 riyals in 2022.

The company’s CEO, Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim, said that “the financial results for 2023 reflect the impact of the economic challenges faced by the company, especially in light of the Corona pandemic and its repercussions on the real estate sector.”

Al-Abdulkarim added that the company is working to implement a strategic plan aimed at improving its financial performance and increasing its profitability in the coming period, noting that the company has a promising portfolio of real estate projects that will contribute to achieving its goals.

It is worth noting that Saudi Entity was established in 1976, and its headquarters is located in the city of Riyadh. The company is active in developing and managing commercial, residential, and industrial real estate projects, in addition to investing in securities and real estate.

وأشار التقرير إلى أن إجمالي إيرادات الشركة بلغ 147.6 مليون ريال في 2023، مقابل 62.8 مليون ريال في 2022، بزيادة نسبتها 135%. فيما بلغت خسائر السهم 0.70 ريال، مقارنة بخسائر 0.02 ريال في 2022.
وقال الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة، المهندس عبدالله بن محمد العبدالكريم، إن “النتائج المالية للعام 2023 تعكس تأثير التحديات الاقتصادية التي واجهتها الشركة، خاصة في ظل جائحة كورونا وتداعياتها على القطاع العقاري”.
وأضاف العبدالكريم أن الشركة تعمل على تنفيذ خطة استراتيجية تهدف إلى تحسين أدائها المالي وزيادة ربحيتها خلال الفترة المقبلة، مشيراً إلى أن الشركة تمتلك محفظة مشاريع عقارية واعدة ستسهم في تحقيق أهدافها.
يذكر أن الكيان السعودي تأسست عام 1976، ويقع مقرها الرئيسي في مدينة الرياض. وتنشط الشركة في تطوير وإدارة المشاريع العقارية التجارية والسكنية والصناعية، إضافة إلى الاستثمار في الأوراق المالية والعقارات.

A recent scientific study conducted by researchers at King Saud University’s College of Medicine revealed that even 15 minutes of daily physical activity can significantly impact overall health and longevity.

The researchers found that individuals who engage in moderate physical activity for 15 minutes daily, such as brisk walking or light household chores, have up to a 14% lower risk of premature death compared to those who remain completely sedentary.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Mahna, head of the research team, explained that “the results confirm that exercise is not limited to gyms or intense workouts, but even simple daily movement has a significant positive impact on health.”

The study included over 5,000 participants from various age groups in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, and lasted for two years. Researchers used movement-tracking devices to accurately measure physical activity levels.

This study comes within the framework of national efforts to promote healthy lifestyles, as the Ministry of Health recently launched the “15 Minutes Changes Your Life” campaign to encourage citizens to engage in daily physical activity.

Previous studies had linked sedentary behavior to increased risks of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, but this Saudi study is the first of its kind in the Kingdom to demonstrate the benefits of even simple movement.

It’s worth noting that the World Health Organization recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, but this Saudi study shows that even less than that can make a difference.

These findings are good news for those who struggle with time constraints or difficulty adhering to intensive exercise programs, as they prove that good health requires only a little regular daily movement.

كشفت دراسة علمية حديثة أجراها باحثون في كلية الطب بجامعة الملك سعود أن الحركة اليومية البسيطة، حتى لو كانت 15 دقيقة فقط، يمكن أن تُحدث تأثيرًا كبيرًا على الصحة العامة وتطيل العمر.
ووجد الباحثون أن الأشخاص الذين يمارسون نشاطًا بدنيًا معتدلًا لمدة 15 دقيقة يوميًا، مثل المشي السريع أو الأعمال المنزلية الخفيفة، يقل لديهم خطر الوفاة المبكرة بنسبة تصل إلى 14% مقارنة بأولئك الذين لا يتحركون على الإطلاق.
أوضح الدكتور عبد الله المهنا، رئيس فريق البحث، أن “النتائج تؤكد أن الرياضة ليست حكرًا على صالات الجيم أو التمارين الشاقة، بل حتى الحركة اليومية البسيطة لها تأثير إيجابي كبير على الصحة”.
شملت الدراسة أكثر من 5000 مشارك من مختلف الفئات العمرية في الرياض وجدة والدمام، واستمرت لمدة عامين. واستخدم الباحثون أجهزة تتبع الحركة لقياس مستويات النشاط البدني بدقة.
وتأتي هذه الدراسة في إطار الجهود الوطنية لتعزيز أنماط الحياة الصحية، حيث أطلقت وزارة الصحة مؤخرًا حملة “15 دقيقة تغير حياتك” لتشجيع المواطنين على الحركة اليومية.
وكانت دراسات سابقة قد ربطت بين قلة الحركة وزيادة مخاطر الإصابة بأمراض القلب والسكري والسمنة، لكن هذه الدراسة تُعد الأولى من نوعها في المملكة التي تُظهر فوائد حتى الحركة البسيطة.
يُذكر أن منظمة الصحة العالمية توصي بممارسة 150 دقيقة على الأقل من النشاط البدني المعتدل أسبوعيًا، لكن الدراسة السعودية تُظهر أن حتى أقل من ذلك يمكن أن يُحدث فرقًا.
وتُعد هذه النتائج خبرًا سارًا لمن يعانون من ضيق الوقت أو صعوبة الالتزام ببرامج رياضية مكثفة، حيث تُثبت أن الصحة الجيدة لا تتطلب سوى القليل من الحركة اليومية المنتظمة.

Al-Amri added: “I advise young people not to participate in such dangerous challenges and to seek safe and healthy entertainment methods.”

وأضاف العصيمي: “ينبغي على الأهل والمدارس توعية الشباب بمخاطر مثل هذه التحديات، وضرورة عدم الانجرار وراءها دون تفكير في العواقب.”
من جانبه، قال استشاري الأمراض الجلدية الدكتور خالد العمري: “استخدام أدوات حادة لحلق الشعر قد يتسبب بجروح وخدوش في فروة الرأس، كما قد يؤدي إلى التهابات جلدية خطيرة إذا لم يتم تعقيم الأدوات بشكل جيد.”
وأضاف العمري: “أنصح الشباب بعدم المشاركة في مثل هذه التحديات الخطيرة، والبحث عن وسائل ترفيهية آمنة وصحية.”

Riyadh – Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia, passed away on Monday evening at the age of 75.

His body was buried after the Asr prayer on Tuesday at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh, with Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, leading the funeral prayer.

The deceased was born in Riyadh in 1946, memorized the Quran in his youth, then joined the Riyadh Scientific Institute. After graduation, he worked as a teacher in the same institute.

In 1992, a royal order appointed Sheikh Saleh as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, a position he held until his death, making distinguished scholarly and missionary contributions.

The Royal Court mourned the deceased, expressing deep sorrow and asking Allah to have mercy on him and grant him Paradise.

Many officials, scholars, and preachers offered their condolences to the deceased’s family and the Saudi people, praising his blessed scholarly and missionary journey.

May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, grant him Paradise, and give his family, relatives, and loved ones patience and solace.

الرياض – توفي مساء أمس الاثنين الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ، عضو هيئة كبار العلماء في المملكة العربية السعودية، عن عمر ناهز 75 عاماً.
وشيع جثمان الفقيد عقب صلاة عصر اليوم الثلاثاء من مسجد الإمام تركي بن عبد الله بالرياض، حيث أم الصلاة عليه الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله آل الشيخ، مفتي عام المملكة.
وكان الفقيد قد ولد عام 1946 في مدينة الرياض، وحفظ القرآن الكريم في صغره، ثم التحق بمعهد الرياض العلمي، وبعد تخرجه عمل مدرساً في المعهد المذكور.
وفي عام 1992 صدر أمر ملكي بتعيين الشيخ صالح عضواً في هيئة كبار العلماء، وظل في هذا المنصب حتى وفاته، مقدماً إسهامات علمية ودعوية متميزة.
وقد نعى الديوان الملكي الفقيد، معرباً عن بالغ الحزن والأسى، سائلاً الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ويسكنه فسيح جناته.
وأعرب العديد من المسؤولين والعلماء والدعاة عن تعازيهم الحارة لأسرة الفقيد وللشعب السعودي، مثنين على مسيرته العلمية والدعوية المباركة.
رحم الله الشيخ صالح بن عبد العزيز آل الشيخ وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وألهم أهله وذويه ومحبيه الصبر والسلوان.
